Lauren Bagliore F/W 2012 Fashion Show/ Fundraiser at DaDe Gallery

T.G.I.F! I can't believe it has been a week since my last main blog post. Recently my lovely family visited me here in YYC all the way from Hong Kong :), and of course I am trying to a be a good host.
Thursday night I went to a very interesting fashion/charity event. DaDe Art and Design Lab in Inglewood YYC, along with PARK organized the Lauren Bagliore F/W 2012 Fashion Show. The DaDe Art and Design Lab carries one of a kind artwork and furniture from various international artists and talents. It was my first time visiting this gallery and it certainly was inspirational.

About the main event of the night, we have models from the beautiful and professional Sophia Models International wearing pieces by Lauren BaglioreLauren Bagliore is an upcoming New York fashion designer who recently showcased her collection at the LG (Toronto) Fashion Week.
Prior to launching her own label, Lauren has previously worked for Vivienne Westwood and Zac Posen and Canadian designer Paul Hardy. Most of the designs in this collection focus on darker tone colors such as charcoal, grey and black, and I noticed some of the pieces were Asian, specifically Japanese fashion, inspired.

Lauren proved her expertise in draped dresses, and her pieces revealed the new-age of strong and confident women, while also retaining their softer feminine side. From the rebellious high-fashion biker style on Ania, and the elegant yet sexy look on Carmen, to the edgy mysterious vision on lady Kim, this collection was able to show multiple personalities of women.

Guests from various industries attended this event. In addition to the fashion show, this event was also a fundraiser to raise awareness for human trafficking in Cambodia. While living in the more fortunate part of the world, I believe we should reach out to help, as much as we can for those that are living in a less fortunate situation. The organization that help the victims in Cambodia is called Ratanak; Their website is   http://www.Ratanak.org
I like to thank DaDe Art and Design Lab, PARK and Lauren Bagliore for inviting me this inspirational and meaningful event. For more info and contact Lauren Bagliore, please visit: http://www.laurenbagliore.com or email: info@LaurenBagliore.com
