What can I say... it's been a busy few days here in Brisbane! Each & every fashion show so far has been completely amazing. Akira Isogawa launched the first evening show along with Easton & Pearson, and today was jam packed with the National Media Lunch & Designer Preview, followed by group shows featuring the amazing George Wu, Paul Hunt, Julie Grbac and more. I've also been privileged to meet lots of new and inspiring people, my biggest highlight (which will be hard to top) was chatting to Napoleon Perdis. What a charismatic man, as soon as he enters the room it's instantly filled with so much positive energy, and listening to him talk is just totally captivating. I was completely blown away! Tomorrow I'm off to the V Australia Fashion Forum where guest speakers such as Kristy Hinze, Vogue Editor Kirstie Clements & Napoleon Perdis will chat about the Industry, and then its off to more shows in the evening. I've been busy uploading images of each show which I hope you enjoy, and will be featuring my favourites for the week in the September Issue of Mylookbook. I'm having such a wonderful time, it's things like this that make all the lonely hours/days sitting in a small office in front of a computer worth it!

Napoleon Perdis & Me!
In between creating pages for the September Issue of Mylookbook, I've been trying to give some thought about what to wear to MBFF next week! I actually did get a small chance today to do some experimenting and searching for inspiration and I've become quite intrigued with some of the tropical coral tones surfacing for Spring.
The photo of Jennifer Hudgens below confirmed my new found taste in colour, I only hope my own ensemble will look a fraction as good!

Always showcasing the current season's trends so perfectly, Rachel Bilson steps out this week in a variety of current & up and coming Spring/Summer styles...
1. Over the last couple of weeks we've seen Rachel out in a few different styles of loser black smock dresses. I for one love this style. Black is so safe and will always flatter, plus you can mix and match this style so easily to suit the weather. She's added an over sized black blazer (hot this season) and her studded ankle boots (which I've been obsessed with for over 12 months now). As it gets warmer, just add a pair of this season's statement sandals and the look is transformed.
2. Rachel was seen in these shoes last season and it's proof that investing in a great pair of statement shoes will go a long way. I'm loving the addition of the cropped white vest which gives the whole outfit that quirky 'Rachel Style' edge.
3. This style of singlet/cami with the v-neck and overlapped frill detail is huge for this summer with many designers releasing their own take. It's such a flattering cut which will look great with jeans or shorts. Simply chose a print that you love & it will be one of your most worn items all season!
A summer staple for many is the maxi-dress, glamorous day or night, my favourite celebs stepped out this week in their own stylish versions...

For Sienna Miller fashion devotees it's been a smorgasbord of style this past few weeks. From gorgeous dresses to quirky peg style pants, she's been covering all bases. Her G.I Joe promotional tour has been more like a dream wardrobe display, showcasing her unique style for us all to grab inspiration from for the season ahead. As one of my favourite celebs for style ideas, I'm in inspiration heaven right now!
Oh my gosh it's been a busy month (or few actually!) Some how though, I've managed to get the August Issue online, plus a whole new website, and all on schedule. Once again, thank you to all those who have given me feedback & said what they loved, wanted more of etc with Mylookbook. The Mylookbook Flip Magazine is still the main feature (99% of readers were adamant they didn't want that changed at all - except to add more pages) The new website does give readers access to past articles, more news updates and coverage of events that Mylookbook is involved with (I'll be updating the site every day through Brisbane Fashion week).
I really hope you enjoy, it's a labour of love that sometimes gets completely overwhelming but is definitely worth it when everything finally goes online each month!
