The fabulous Jennifer Lopez

Ok, so I've written and re-written an entire article over and over again on why this photo of 40 year old Jennifer Lopez is so beautiful and inspiring. I don't particularly want to dive into the body image debate at this time so I'll just post the image and let you all feel how you want about it.

For me, I think this is an absolutely gorgeous photo of Jen. Having been way to critical of my own photos so many times in the past, analyzing whether my shoulders looked too round or my tummy stuck out, this photo screams at me to stop being so ridiculously critical of myself and look at how beautiful women and their gorgeous curves are.

Jen looks healthy, fit and happy. Isn't that the most important thing when it comes to your body?

2010 Hair Trend - The Bun...

Always one of the first celebrities to showcase a new trend, Kate Bosworth was photographed recently with her hair pulled high and tight into a dramatic high set bun.

I’m personally more of a loose and messy bun girl however I’m still loving Kate’s look. As with any trend, it’s fun to experiment with it, but even more fun to customize it to suit your own style.

For me, I’d feel more comfortable with Cameron Diaz’s pulled back do (below). The loose strands around the face and the slightly more dishevelled pulled back look are so much softer. It has that same overall feel but with less severity.

Jennifer Lopez is another celebrity (like Kate) who can pull off the tight bun look. She’s been doing her hair this way for years and on her it always looks sensational.


So if you’re looking for a new party hairstyle for 2010, it looks like it's going to be the year of the bun. Which ever version you decide to experiment with, I'm loving how simple, sophisticated and easy it is to do yourself.

Jennifer Lopez Style

I tried writing a piece this afternoon to describe how in aw I am of Jennifer Lopez’s flawless, perfect, polished, sexy, feminine style but really struggled to completely sum up exactly how much I love her look.

Instead, I’ll just post the pictures that make me want to purchase make up in all the colours she is wearing, dye my hair bronze, and throw out my whole wardrobe, only wear well fitted classic clothing ensembles and of course those big over sized sunnies...
